"I used Bob (for a second time) to repair and refinish the birch hardwood floors in the kitchen of my 100 year old home in St. Paul. Since I've used Bob before, I expected a great job, but Bob again exceeded expectations. The repairs to the various holes and bad boards in the kitchen were laced in and matched with the old flooring perfectly. His finishing is impeccable. He comes in, knows what to do, gets it done, and then moves on to the next job. I cannot recommend Bob enough. This is one craftsman who really knows what to do and at the right price. "I called Bob to schedule an estimate appointment and he came that same day. His estimate was less than I thought it would be. We scheduled a long weekend out of town sort of last minute and I called Bob hoping, but not expecting he could work us in, and he was able to work to our schedule. He came when he said he would. "I wanted a large LR area, approx. 900 SF, to be in wood, and the mud room entrance and bedroom in either slate or cork. Bob at Fashion Floors did the wood, and turned me on to another installer (Scott Walsh - Walsh Flooring, Shakopee, MN) for the non-wood areas. Scott was also excellent! Job was done without a problem. Bob returned after I noticed a couple of defects in 3 boards, to replace them. The floor looks great. I had to rip up the old floor, install and level a new subfloor, and then I hired Bob to install the hickory wood floor that I had purchased. Bob works completely independently and you can feel confident that he doesn't cut any corners. He is extremely efficient, but doesn't sacrifice quality for speed. "Bob sanded down and refinished the hardwood floors of our 1920s lake home. The floors had at various times had tile glued on, painted dark and uneven colors, gouged, cracked, and were in horrible condition. He wound up completely rebuilding our staircase and did such a fine job with the entire project that it doesn't even look like the same house anymore!
